Today we went to Kelly Campus and explored Ditch Creek area. We read the Lorax and discussed how humans impact the environment and what role we can play to help protect it. Next, we went to the Murie Museum and had an opportunity to touch some real animal specimens and practice making observations.
Follow-up question: How do you think the Once-ler and the Lorax could have both been happy? What compromises would both groups have to make?
Answer: Answers vary. General answer should be that the Once-ler should not have cut down all the trees and should have been better at replanting trees. Also, the Lorax would have had to allow the Once-ler to cut down some trees.
