Brrrr! The theme of the day was to stay warm! We spent this morning at the Teton Research Institute learning about bird banding and the different types of birds we have here in Wyoming! After a snack we traveled up to Wedding Tree for lunch and played some games to stay warm. Finally, we made the short trek over to the Gros Ventre Slide. We learned about the landslide that occurred there in 1925, and we practiced our naturalist skills by collecting plant samples and recording our observations.
Follow-up question: What type of birds did we find and release at the TRI this morning?
Answer: Black-capped chickadee, Robin, Yellow Warbler, and Cedar Waxwing!
