Today, we focused on the carnivores and omnivores of Jackson Hole. We began our day at the National Museum of Wildlife Art, where we explored the artwork and identified various carnivore adaptations. We then added examples of carnivores to our Naturalist Journals, ate lunch at the Museum, and drove to the Swan Ponds. There, we explored the riparian habitat, observed trumpeter swans, played a game comparing food sources of carnivores and omnivores, and read a story by one of the ponds.
Follow-up question: How are omnivore diets different from carnivore diets?
Answer: Omnivores eat plants and animals, while carnivores only eat meat!
