Today we started by playing some name games, talking more explicitly about our expectations in terms of behavior and mutual respect for one another in the group, and introducing the theme of the day, which was tracking. We visited the Bradley Taggart trail in hopes of finding some cool tracks to observe, but got rained out relatively quickly. We returned to campus to make plaster casts of animal prints and do some fort building.
Follow-up question: What is one way that being able to identify tracks could help you in a survival situation?
Answer: Use tracks as clues to follow an animal you could hunt and eat!
