The objective for today was to create a collaborative piece and we accomplished this goal! In the morning we created two group pieces, including an imaginary animal/monster. After lunch, and braving ANOTHER thunderstorm, the artists created two large collaborative pieces using found, natural materials. We left those pieces in GTNP because they were created with rock, wood, and snake skins! We also discussed how to be good museum visitors in preparation for tomorrow!
Follow-up question: What does it mean to make a collaborative piece?
Answer: You work together with other people to make one piece. You have to recognize other people’s opinions, their perspective, and the subjectivity of art in order to be successful!
